<br/>Work related stress is not something you should take lightly. Everyone experiences a certain amount of stress at work, but at a certain point it becomes a real problem. The first step is admitting that you do have a problem with stress at work. Next, you need to resolve that you'll do anything and everything to reduce this stress. Clutter is a related issue, not just at work but at home as well. Do you always misplace things? Do you have a disorganized routine? Stretch your arms above your head, as if you're trying to reach the ceiling. Do a few shoulder rolls. Move your neck gently from side to side and from front to back. These simple activities will help relax your body. When you are seated at your desk, pay attention to your posture. Don't slump in your chair. Your neck and shoulders shouldn't have any tension either while you're sitting down, otherwise you'll be easily stressed. Getting regular massages can help relieve work-related stress.<br/><br/>For many people, getting to work and perhaps coming home is just as stressful as being there. When a person needs to spend an inordinate amount of time every day just getting to work and home again; it can be draining. There are a few schemes that you can try that may make time pass a little quicker. When you don't have to talk to anyone, imagining yourself in beautiful places could make your commute a little more enjoyable. You may also consider listening to audio books. When things like unforeseen delays and impediments happen, you will have something to help the time pass. When you have the ability to telecommute a portion of your work load you will get a little relief. This option is available by many companies. When the telecommuting is not an option, your company may work with your schedule and allow you to work extra hours to forego one of your work days. <br/><br/>For many of us, our workplace is where we experience a great deal of stress. No matter how stressful your work environment may be, however, there are usually steps you can take to feel more relaxed. If you just can't see yourself being relaxed or feeling better in your job, though, perhaps you should start thinking about making a career change.
